The art of packing

Different people have different preference when it comes to packing for travelling.
Some prefer to pack lite (keep it minimum and simple) and some others prefer to pack with tons of "what if" questions.

Me ? I prefer to pack lite, but i don't want to look like a shabby homeless guy, i want to look normal and blend in with my destination. (Well, have seen some backpacker "bule" who are travelling really light, probably keep only 1-2 shirts... and look like homeless people).

Well, however, when i go to unfamiliar destination, I prefer to pack with tons of "WHAT IF" questions. Just like the story from previous post - I actually filled out only half of the carrier, but, knowing that we were gonna stay over the sea, I think i need to prepare well (see here for where the puppy and the bear stayed : http://wismaapung.wordpress.com/ )

Below are some references on how to pack for backpacking :

Read this if you don't like to read too much : http://www.startbackpacking.com/travel/packing-a-backpack/

Here is an extensive list of what you should pack (and all the considerations) : http://www.startbackpacking.com/travel/backpacking-packing-list/

And this one if you are a hardcore backpacker... (hiking and camping rather than town or island hopping) : http://www.best-backpack-guide.com/how-to-pack-a-backpack.html

Pardon me for not summarizing - am away for travelling, and of course, bringing my yellow carrier.... *switching my brain off now :) *

Unnecessary Loads...

this is before we go to Singapore, the bear and the puppy try to pack their bags and fill it with what we think necessary...

after some guides from the internet about backpacking, it became clear about what to carry, what is not to, which one is important, and which you can leave behind.

obviously the puppy just didn't understand about how much it should be...

the puppy pack just a little bit too much of... water...

half of the bag is...

water bottle...

... ^_^ at least i'm not worried of getting thirsty when i go out with her hihihi

Blank patches..

The bear was in pain this weekend - he just happened to wake up in the wrong position, and twisted some of his muscles (or whatever part of his fatty body). Well, despite of the job that he had to do for the morning, he spent the whole day in pain.

After a desperate attempt with ultra violet microwave lamp, he finally decided to use some patches. He asked the wrong person to help him - me !!!!

Thought i would need a marker to mark the spot (but he didn't let me of course).
Nothing happened - not until i notice that the patches are blank white .... hmmm....

So I decided to do this.....

Well, not exactly like his picture. I used ballpoint (because he didn't let me to use any form of marker.... which is quite trouble some .....)

Break Time !

2010 had been a really rough year for us, full of challenge, blessing, achievement, losses, and of course the endless torture of working...

so we set up a small vacation in this early age of year, as a symbol of a new fresh start to achieve our resolution for this year and whatever we missed on the previous...

we're going to...

wohoooo....!!! eat, shop, adventure, whatever that place can offer us ^_^

it's going to be... (wait for it) ... AWESOME !!!

(it should be... going to be... has to be... ooorrr emm... whatever...)

Fire in (err... maybe from) the Hole !

it's been a while since our last bite of fried cassava (the bear likes it fried hehehe) ... but then the bear thinks about this scenario ... hmmm what could the most gassy plant (myth or fact?) can do to our life?

hehehe don't think i want to eat it near anyone thou ;)

Not so Bouncy Anymore...

after some steak, chips, deserts, snacks, soft drinks, candy and bouncing for a while, the puppy finally reach it's limit...

Bounce bounce on the bed

The bear always does better job when it comes to domestic chores :)
Cooking, sweeping, washing, you name it :P

And as for the puppy ..... well..... let's just say that she's good at enjoying time - and annoying others...

This one happened before and after the sleep over, the puppy was still enjoying the bed, and rolling over on it while the bear had to fold the sheet and move the mattresses.

Anyhow - the puppy was not the only one having fun bouncing and playing on the bed. Looks like everyone had their butts attached - or stitched on those comfy mattresses :)

New Year aftermath

Here's what happened during new year :
- BBQ party
- non stop laughing - chit chatting - gossiping
- non stop movie marathon
- candies, soda, tiramisu, pudding treats - of course non stops

And here is the aftermath :
- Headache (probably caused by high cholesterol - thanks to all the red meat and lack of sleep)
- Masuk angin (due to sleepless night, and improper sleeping - yea, sleeping on the couch without blanket, and AC directed right to couch)

Huh ? Oh hi there !

Hi !

not much that we can say about us - we intentionally want to post our stories - just in case we get old - or one of us got dementia (*knock on wood*), so we could remember and share our stories with our loved ones.

sometimes - actually - most of the times, we come up with funny (or i would say, sado-masochism) ideas - be it in the mall, funeral (oops..), anywhere. And we thought that these wacky ideas are just too precious to be forgotten.

some of them are ideas - but most of them might be true reality. we'll leave that guessing part up to you :)

okay - just to keep it short - enjoy !
any inputs or comments are mostly welcome. :)
